Why long-distance couples still mail letters

You already text all day. A letter is the one thing that is not on her phone. It arrives on its own schedule, it is in your handwriting (or the one you picked), and it stays on her desk where she sees it every day until the next one shows up. People in long-distance relationships describe opening the envelope as the best part of the week. That is not a text.

What to put in a long-distance letter

How often should you send one?

One a week is plenty and one a month still matters. The trick is making it easy enough that it actually happens, which is why you type it on your phone instead of hunting for a stamp. Each letter is written with a real pen and mailed within two business days; USPS takes another two to five, so a letter mailed Monday usually lands Friday or the next Monday.

Questions

Can I write to a man with this?

Yes. The site says “she” because most of our customers are men, but the pen does not care. Every example here works both directions.

Can I send the same letter to her every week?

You can, but don’t. Write a new one. A short new letter beats a long repeated one.

Can I include a photo?

Yes. Add a picture in the editor and the pen traces it in outline. A doodle of your dog, a map with a star on her town, the view from your window.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. US addresses only, including Alaska, Hawaii and military addresses (email us first for those).
