I’m Chris. I read every letter.
NotAText is one machine, one pen, and one person in Abilene, Texas who thinks a real letter still means something.

Why this exists
Texts get read in two seconds and buried by lunch. A letter she tears open and holds in her hands gets kept. On a mirror. In a drawer. For years. Most guys know that and still never send one, because sitting down with a pen is the part that never happens.
So I built the part that never happens. You type it on your phone. A machine I built in my shop holds a real ballpoint pen and writes it, stroke by stroke, in a hand you pick. I fold it, seal it, stamp it and walk it to the post office.
Where and who
NotAText runs out of a small studio in Abilene, Texas. It is me, Chris, the machine, and a shelf of paper and envelopes. There is no call center and no outsourced anything. If you email orders@theprintingguys.com, I answer it.
What I promise
- A real pen on real paper. Nothing printed, nothing that looks like a font.
- The preview you approve is the exact path the pen follows.
- One person reads every letter before it is sealed, only to check the pen did its job. Your letter is never used as an example and never shown to anyone.
- Written and mailed within two business days, postage included, anywhere in the United States.
- If the pen hasn’t started, you can change it or get a refund. The policies, in plain words.
Who it’s for
Mostly men writing to a girlfriend, a wife, or someone they should have written to a long time ago. Also grandparents, deployed friends, moms on Mother’s Day, and anyone who wants their words to arrive as something she can hold.
