- A birthday letter, handwritten.
A birthday letter, handwritten.
For your girlfriend, your wife, your mom or your daughter: a one-page birthday letter in real ink, sealed, stamped and mailed. Order a week ahead. Shipping included.
A birthday letter is the gift inside the gift
Whatever you bought her, the letter is the part she keeps. A birthday card gets read once in front of everyone. A letter in an envelope with her name on it gets read alone, twice, and put somewhere safe. Write the letter. The present can be anything.
What to write in a birthday letter
- Her year, from your seat. The thing she pulled off that she has already stopped giving herself credit for.
- One thing you are glad exists because she does.
- A wish for the next year that is about her, not about the two of you.
- Something only you know. The detail that proves the letter could not have gone to anyone else.
Example: for a girlfriend
Timing a birthday letter
Written and mailed within two business days, then USPS First-Class, two to five days. Order a week ahead and it will be in the mailbox on or before the day. If you are late, mail it to yourself and hand it over with the cake.
Who else gets birthday letters
Moms, mostly. A letter to your mom on her birthday in real ink will get framed. Daughters going to college. Grandparents who still check the mailbox every day: see a letter to Grandma.
Questions
Can I have it arrive on the exact day?
We cannot promise a delivery date; USPS does the last step. Order about a week ahead and it arrives on or just before the day. For an exact day, mail it to yourself and hand it to her.
Half or Full Letter for a birthday?
Full Letter if you are writing the year. Half Letter if it is a note to go with a gift.
Can I put a photo in it?
Yes. The pen traces pictures in outline. A photo from the year works.
